REFLECT
As an artist, I am privileged to use art as my voice. While traveling around the country interviewing people who were suffering from drug addiction, I realized how little “voice” they have.
This installation serves to correct that. Each person I interviewed had the opportunity to write a special message on a note card. It could be a message to someone they loved or to the members of the general public who would someday experience my art.
To present their messages, I felt it was only fitting to create small, private spaces and what could be more private than a bathroom segment. Here you will gain access into their lives. Just don’t peek into the medicine cabinets…
